SREED HUMP INSTALLATION
LAUREL WOOD WAY & KINGFISHER DR.
Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised that the City of Frederick Street Department will be installing speed humps for the purpose of traffic calming on Laurel Wood Way and Kingfisher Drive. This work will involve removing the top layer of existing asphalt to a depth of 1 inch. They will next install a layer of base asphalt in the center of the disturbed area and compact it with an asphalt roller. The third step is to install final layer of asphalt over the length and width of the area. The final product will be 14 feet by 32 feet with a maximum peak elevation of 3 ½ inches above the existing asphalt grade. The work is scheduled to begin Monday, July 17, 2006 and be completed by Thursday July 20, 2006.

IMPACT TO AREA:
There will be minimal traffic disturbance with a flagman operation. There will be no parking in the areas adjacent to the designated hump location for the duration of this project.
