MAYOR CALLS FOR CLOSED SESSION TO FOLLOW REGULARLY SCHEDULED MAYOR
AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN PUBLIC MEETING

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Holtzinger has requested a Closed Session to follow the regularly scheduled Mayor and Board of Aldermen Public Meeting on Thursday, February 2. Mayor Holtzinger will request a vote of the Aldermen to convene the meeting as a closed session. This action is in accordance with the authority granted under the Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article, Section 10-508 (a)(1)(i) which states: that a public body may meet in closed executive session for discussion of t he appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom it has jurisdiction: and 10-508 a(3) which states that a public body may meet in closed executive session for the consideration of the acquisition of real property for a public purpose and matters directly related thereto.

The Mayor will entertain a motion to this effect at the conclusion of the regularly schedule Public Meeting and will comply with the Open Meetings Act to the fullest extent.
