CITY PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT OFFERING SEVERAL CLASSES TO ENHANCE COMMUNICATIONS

Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised that the City of Frederick’s Parks and Recreation Department will be offering various beginner and advanced level classes in Spanish, French, American Sign Language and Chinese at the William Tally Recreation Center beginning in February 2006.

Language in motion is an innovative way of looking at language instruction. Classes are offered for participant’s ages 3 to 82 years of age. Learning a second language should be fun, and these classes are centered around the use of movement in response to instructions. Language in motion mixes Total Physical Response with age appropriate activities. The activities will include: games, songs, conversations, drills and grammar. Classes will be taught by instructors from the Quality Language Foundation. Cost for the 10-week, one-hour class, is $100. Class times and age groups vary and are held various times through the week. Please call the Recreation Department for additional information, 301-600-1492. Don't miss out on this great learning opportunity!
