REMINDER TO RESIDENTS ABOUT THE CITY’S CHRISTMAS TREE COLLECTION PROGRAM

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick would like to reminder residents for that for the second year the City of Frederick’s revised Christmas Tree Recycling Program is in effect. There is no curbside tree collection. Citizen’s can dispose of their trees in two ways: at the County landfill or by taking the trees to one of four City drop off locations. Trees will be accepted at the drop off collection sites until the end of January. Once trees are dropped off at one of the City’s collection sites, the trees will be ground up and utilized as biodegradable mulch.

Please note the City drop off locations:
- Max Kehne on 7th Street
- Taskers Chance parking lot on Key Parkway
- Harry Grove Parking Lower Lot
- Husky Park on Highland Street behind the
Fairgrounds

Please make sure trees are free of ornaments, garland, tinsel, lights, or tree stands. Also please remove any plastic bags from around the trees. For additional information on this program please contact 301.600.1173.
