AUTOMATED TRASH COLLECTION AREAS WILL HAVE ADDITIONAL SERVICE OVER HOLIDAY SEASON

Frederick, MD --- The City of Frederick Department of Public Works will be offering extra trash collection service in the automated trash collection areas of the City during the Holiday Season to accommodate the abundance of waste accumulation and trash over flow in these areas. Extra trash items must be placed three (3) feet from the automated trash carts. All cardboard items must be broken down and bundled. Extra trash must be bagged for collection. During this time, please recycle as many paper items as possible in your blue recycling bin. Dates of the extra trash collection service are December 26, 28, 29, 2006 and January 2, 4, 5, 2007.
