ACTIVITIES ABOUND DURING CHILDREN’S WEEKEND

Fun for children of all ages, this year’s Children’s Weekend will be held Saturday, December 9th and Sunday, December 10th. Presented by Celebrate Frederick and the Holiday Committee of Historic Frederick, the following is a schedule of activities:

Saturday, December 9th

Breakfast with Santa
9 – 10:30 a.m.
Brewer’s Alley, 124 N. Market Street

Buffet breakfast will be served. Contact Brewer’s Alley for reservations.

Belsnickling
10:30 a.m.

Share in the German tradition of mask making and then wear the mask while parading around town. Refreshments served. FREE!

Holiday Market for Kids
9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Literacy Council Lobby

Sponsored by Dancing Bear Toys & Gifts
Children can shop for parents, siblings, teachers and friends, selecting from gifts all priced under $5. To share the joy of reading this season, please bring a new book for needy children in our community.

Live Children’s Performance
2 p.m. (doors open at 1:30 p.m.)

Holiday songs and dance by Dance Partners International followed by The Mom and Me Holiday Show with upbeat music and a festive sing-along. Limited floor seating available. Contact The City of Frederick Office of Special Events at 301-228-2841 for your FREE admission coupon.

Ornament Painting at I Made This!
Noon – 6 p.m.

Allow your child’s creativity to shine as they paint their own ornament. FREE!

Storytelling

All Weekend
Frederick County Society of Model Railroad Engineers

No holiday celebration is complete without a model railroad display. FREE!

Holiday Art Show
December 9th – 31st
Frederick Arts Council
Window Front along N. Market Street
Children throughout the county showcase their idea of “Holiday Fun in Frederick” at this annual display. FREE!
