MAYOR CALLS FOR CLOSED SESSION PRIOR TO MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN PUBLIC MEETING

Frederick, MD --- Mayor William J. Holtzinger has requested a Closed Session to precede the scheduled Mayor and Board of Aldermen Public Meeting on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 5:30 PM. Mayor Holtzinger will request a vote of the Aldermen to convene the meeting as a Closed Session. This action is in accordance with the authority granted under the Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article, Section 10-508(a)(3) to consider the acquisition of real property for a public purpose and matters directly related thereto; and Section 508(a)(4) to consider a preliminary matter that concerns the proposal for a business or industrial organization to locate, expand, or remain in the State.

Mayor Holtzinger will entertain a motion to this effect prior to 5:30 PM and will comply with the Open Meetings Act to the fullest extent.
