HOLIDAY TRASH COLLECTION SCHEDULE FOR THE CITY OF FREDERICK
Frederick, MD --- Please be advised that there will be NO Trash Collection Service on Monday, December 25, 2006 in observance of the Christmas Holiday. This notice applies to residents that normally set out their trash on Sunday evening for Monday morning collection. These residents are asked to hold their trash until the next regularly scheduled trash collection day, which will be Thursday, December 28, 2006. All cardboard items must be broken down and bundled. Extra trash must be bagged for collection. During this time, please recycle as many paper items as possible in your blue recycling bin.
In addition, there will be NO Trash Collection Service on Monday, January 1, 2007 in observance of the New Year’s Day Holiday. This notice applies to residents that normally set out their trash on Sunday evening for Monday morning collection. These residents are asked to hold their trash until the next regularly scheduled trash collection day, which will be Thursday, January 4, 2007. All cardboard items must be broken down and bundled. Extra trash must be bagged for collection. During this time, please recycle as many paper items as possible in your blue recycling bin.
The City of Frederick Department of Public Works will be offering extra trash collection service in the Automated Trash Collection areas only of the City during the Holiday Season to accommodate the abundance of waste accumulation and trash over flow in these areas. Extra trash items must be placed three (3) feet from the automated trash carts. All cardboard items must be broken down and bundled. Extra trash must be bagged for collection. During this time, please recycle as many paper items as possible in your blue recycling bin. Dates of the extra trash collection service in the Automated Trash Collection areas are December 26, 28, 29, 2006 and January 2, 4, 5, 2007.
