WATER MAIN INSTALLATION TO CONTINUE ON OPOSSUMTOWN PIKE

Frederick, MD --- Please be advised Mid-Atlantic Utilities, Inc. will continue installation of the new 12” water main along Opossumtown Pike at the intersection of Poole Jones Road. Additionally, work will begin on Hayward Road starting at Opossumtown Pike and progress eastward. This phase of the work is scheduled for Monday, December 4, 2006 to Friday, December 8, 2006.

A lane closure will be in place, as necessary, between Poole Jones Road and the main entrance to Frederick Community College for all southbound traffic on Opossumtown Pike. Additionally, lane closures will be in place, as necessary, between Opossumtown Pike and Morning Dew Lane for all eastbound traffic on Hayward Road. The water main installation will continue on Opossumtown Pike and Hayward Road for approximately 6 months. Construction activity will be seen on Jefferson Street, between Prospect Blvd. and West Patrick Street through May 2007.

IMPACT TO AREA:

Traffic control devices such as traffic cones, signs and arrow boards will be used to limit traffic to one lane during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
