HECTIC RED TO PLAY IN BAKER PARK

Classic rock band, Hectic Red, will perform at the Baker Park Bandshell on Sunday, August 20th for Celebrate Frederick’s Summer Concert Series presented by Drees Homes. The free performance with begin at 7 p.m.

There are lots of classic rock bands, but there is only one Hectic Red. For the past 18 years, the same four band members have been playing the great songs of the 70’s and early 80’s – songs that other bands just can’t touch. When you hear Hectic Red covering Rush, Yes, Steely Dan and the Eagles, you won’t believe your ears!

Plan to arrive early to enjoy a free Carillon performance in the park beginning at 6 p.m. featuring Claire Marie Moblard, Carillonneur, from New Market, Maryland. Great snack foods and drinks will be available from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. during the Concert Series performance.

While the concerts are FREE to the public, the Summer Concert Series Committee encourages you to bring a canned food item in lieu of admission. Non-perishable items such as canned meats and vegetables, soups, peanut butter, cereal, rice and pastas are requested. All items collected benefit the Frederick City Community Action Agency Food Bank. Items will be collected at the new Information Booth located at the top of the Bandshell steps in Baker Park. A special thank you to Drees Homes for this generous donation.

In the event of inclement weather, please tune to 99.9 WFRE or 103.1 WAFY for news of event cancellation. Due to the travel time and set-up by various artists and the sound production company, decisions regarding weather are made by approx. 4:00 PM. Therefore, if the weather is inclement at this time, listen to the radio for confirmation of the evening’s performance being cancelled.
