MAYOR CALLS FOR CLOSED SESSION TO PRECEDE
WORKSHOP MEETING

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor William J. Holtzinger has requested a Closed Session to precede the scheduled Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop Meeting on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. Mayor Holtzinger will request a vote of the Aldermen to convene the meeting as a Closed Session. This action is in accordance with the authority
granted under the Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article, Section 10-508(a)(1)(i) to discuss the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom it has jurisdiction and Section 10-508(a)(8) to consult with staff, consultants or other individuals about pending or potential litigation.
Mayor Holtzinger will entertain a motion to this effect at 1:30 p.m. and will comply with the Open Meetings Act to the fullest extent.
