WATER MAIN WORK CONTINUES ON GRANT PLACE DURING FIRST WEEK IN MAY

Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised that Mid-Atlantic Utilities, Inc. will continue the water service installations along Grant Place, from Bolton Street to Rosemont Avenue, during the week of May 1 – 5. Once all service installations area complete, permanent trench paving and sidewalk restoration will begin. The water main replacement and associated work in this area will continue for approximately one to two months. Construction activity will be seen on Grant Place, between Bolton Street and Rosemont Avenue, through June 2006.

IMPACT TO AREA:
Traffic control devices such as traffic cones, signs and arrow boards will be used to limit traffic to one lane during the hours of 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Temporary traffic detours will be installed on a daily basis, as needed, from 6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. During these temporary detours, only local traffic and deliveries will be permitted on the street being worked on.
Please exercise caution when driving or walking in the vicinity of the temporary bypass piping (blue pipe along street).
Please note that during the progress of this work, parking along the street is strongly discouraged. During non-working hours, miscellaneous equipment and materials will be stored within the parking lanes of the streets as necessary.
