WATER SHUT OFF SET FOR SOME RESIDENTS ON ROSEMONT AVENUE AND BIGGS AVENUE

Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised that on Tuesday, April 25, 2006, Mid-Atlantic
Utilities, the City of Frederick’s contractor for the Water Distribution Project, will be
installing new fittings on the water line at the intersection of Grant Place and Rosemont
Ave. The water will be shut off in order to complete this work and will affect residents on
Rosemont Avenue, from Culler Avenue to Wilson Place and Biggs Avenue, from
Rosemont Avenue to Evergreen. The water is scheduled to be turned off at 9 p.m. and is
expected to be turned back on at approximately 5 a.m. Upon turning the water back on,
you may notice some discolored water. This is normal when the water line has been
disturbed for maintenance work. Should you experience discolored water, please open
your faucets and let your cold water only run for about 15 – 20 minutes, and it should
clear up. However, please note that this water is gray water and can be collected and used
for outdoor watering of shrubs and gardens.

We apologize for this necessary inconvenience. Please note that if this work is delayed due to inclement weather, the alternate date for this work will be Wednesday, April 26, 2006.
