WATER MAIN INSTALLATION ON MILITARY ROAD
WEEK OF APRIL 17th
Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised that Mid-Atlantic Utilities, Inc. will continue the water main installation on Military Road starting at 7th Street and heading south to the intersection of Meade Ave. The water main replacement and associated work in this area will continue for approximately four months. Construction activity will be seen on Military Road, between Meade Ave. and 7th St. through July 2006.
IMPACT TO AREA:
Traffic control devices such as traffic cones, signs and arrow boards will be used to limit traffic to one lane during the hours of 7 a.m. – 5 p.m..
Temporary traffic detours will be installed on a daily basis, as needed, from 6:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. During these temporary detours, only southbound traffic will be permitted on Military Road, between 7th Street and Meade Ave. The intended detour route for northbound traffic on Military Road will be Meade Avenue to Lee Place to West 7th Street.
Please exercise caution when driving or walking in the vicinity of the temporary bypass piping (blue pipe along street).
Please note that during the progress of this work, parking along the street is strongly discouraged. During non-working hours, miscellaneous equipment and materials will be stored within the parking lanes of the streets as necessary.
