ROCKWELL TERRACE STREET LIGHT UPGRADE WORK TO BEGIN
Frederick, Md. --- At the March 9, 2005 Public Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen funding was approved for streetlight upgrades on Rockwell Terrace. These upgrades are part of a Citywide capital improvement project that allows the City’s Street, Lights and Traffic Control Department to improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of aged lighting circuits.
Construction will commence on or after October 3, 2005. It is estimated this project will be completed by November 21, 2005.
Residents of Rockwell terrace, from North Bentz Street to College Avenue, can expect the following during this construction period: 1) streetlights will be partially or wholly inoperable for a short duration (25-45 days), and 2) installation of underground conduits and new pole bases will disturb the ground in back of the sidewalk in front of some residences.
