HYDRANT FLUSHING NEXT WEEK PART OF WATER MASTER PLAN UPDATE PROCESS
Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised that the City of Frederick will be conducting flow testing in fire hydrants at various locations within the City from Wednesday, October 5th through Friday, October 7th. Testing will take place during daylight hours only. This hydrant flushing is a part of data collection needed for the City’s Engineering Department’s Water Master Plan Update.
As a result of this testing residents may experience cloudy water. If you experience cloudy water do not be alarmed as it is not harmful and will clear up in a short periods of time. If you experience cloudy water please let your tap run for a few minutes to allow the cloudiness to dissipate. If the cloudiness does not disappear after five minutes please contact Mr. Keith Brown, Water Superintendent, at 301-600-1182.
