STREET LIGHT UPGRADES IN CITY OF FREDERICK’S WESTBROOK SUBDIVISION AND ROCKWELL TERRACE
Frederick, Md. --- On March 9, 2005, the Mayor and Board of Alderman of the City of Frederick approved the funding for streetlight upgrades in the Westbrook Subdivision and Rockwell Terrace. These upgrades are part of a City-wide capital improvement project that allows the City's Street, Lights and Traffic Control Department to improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of aged lighting circuits.
Construction will commence on or after September 23, 2005 and the anticipated completion date for this project is October 31, 2005.
During construction, this effort will affect residents as follows: 1) streetlights will be partially- or wholly inoperable for a short duration (25-45 days), and 2) installation of underground conduits and new pole bases will disturb the ground in back of the sidewalk in front of some residences.
Streets to be affected by the street light upgrades include: Rockwell Terrace, from Bentz Street to College Avenue.
