CITY HALL TO SERVE AS PUBLIC RETURNS CENTER FOR CITY GENERAL ELECTION
Frederick, MD --- The Frederick City Board of Supervisors of Elections began a new tradition on primary election night with the public returns center for City of Frederick primary election being held at City Hall. In years past Winchester Hall was used, however, it seemed appropriate that the public returns center be hosted in the heart of City government, City Hall. This change in venue was a success and the location, City Hall, will remain the same for the general election on November 1st.
The public returns center will open at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, November 1st, City Hall Board Room. Candidates and the public are encouraged to gather. Results will be posted in three methods: on the City’s website www.cityoffrederick.com, on the City’s government access channel 99, and hard copies will be distributed to those present as they are released by the Frederick City Board of Supervisors of Elections.
There will also be an Absentee Canvass on Thursday, November 3, 10 a.m., first floor Hearing Room, 12 East Church Street. At that time the Frederick City Board of Supervisors of Elections, sitting as the Board of Canvassers for the City, will begin the process of opening, reviewing, and/or counting absentee ballots cast in the November 1, 2005 City General Election.
