FACTS ABOUT CITY’S HOLIDAY LIGHT PROGRAM

Frederick, Md. --- Did you know the following fun facts about the City of Frederick’s Holiday Light Program:

• The City will spend approximately $78,000 this year on the Annual Holiday Light Program in the downtown.
• 2,760 strands of light will be installed this year.
• 276,000 bulbs!
• Lights will be installed from October 3 rd through November 23 rd. Lights will be turned on the day before Thanksgiving!
• Four to six City staffers work on the Holiday Light Program.
• This is the 14 th year for the program!
• This program couldn’t take place without private citizens and businesses assisting. Electricity is supplied for the lights by 20% private, 25% citizen and finally 55% City of Frederick.
