PASSPORTS ON SALE FOR TRAVEL THEMED HOLIDAY DANCE

Passports for this year’s Holiday Dance go on sale Sunday, November 13 th, and the advance ticket sales day promises to be an event itself! Tickets will be available at Venus on the Half Shell, 151 N. Market Street, from 9 a.m. to noon. Those waiting in line will be treated to an impromptu fashion show, and coffee!

The theme of this year’s dance is Havana, 1959, the last year Americans were allowed in Cuba. The dance will feature the Cuban salsa band Orquesta la Romana, as well as a cigar bar, and food from Café Latino. Future dances will feature the famous Moulin Rouge in Paris, and a night of Cabaret from Berlin, Germany.

Tickets for this year’s dance are $35 per person, and tables may be reserved for $40. After November 13 th, tickets will be available at the City of Frederick’s Office of Special Events, 121 N. Bentz Street. For more information about this, or any of the Celebrate Frederick Inc. holiday events, please call 301-228-2844, or visit www.celebratefrederick.com.

The dance would not be possible without the hard work of the volunteers of the Holidays in Historic Frederick Committee, and the following community-minded businesses: Gold Sponsors - Bechtel Foundation, Cellular One, Chase Credit Card Services, Drees Homes, Sandy Spring Bank and Weis Markets; Silver Sponsors – Adelphia, COMSTAR Federal Credit Union, Farmers & Mechanics Bank, The Frederick News-Post and Spectrum Federal Credit Union; Bronze Sponsors – BB&T, CitiMortgage and the Frederick Arts Council.
