East Church Street Reconstruction Project Update
Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick is reconstructing East Church Street.
As of May 26, 2005 Highway Safety Services, has installed all granite curb and gutter between North Market Street and Chapel Alley. DPW will be starting their work in front of Winchester Hall, cutting out where they need to install concrete to set brick on. DPW then will start in front of house numbers 6,8 and 10. Then the concrete will be poured for the brick to set on.
F.O. Day will be setting Storm Drain box to grade in the Alley of Maxwell, and then start installing rain leaders from # 6 East Church to Carroll Street and jump to the north side.
On June 6, 2005, F.O. Day will bring in their milling machine and start at north Market Street cross walks and then go to the Tourism building, past the parking deck.
The Parking Deck entrance off Church St. will be closed Monday morning, June 6 from 7 am to 12 noon. Patrons will be requested/redirected to the rear entrance off N. Market by Brewer's Alley.
After the milling operation is done, F.O. Day will asphalt full depth 9" paving section leaving 1.5" drop from the concrete cross walks.
Foland Concrete setting up forms to pour curb gutter, and spill ways for cog inlets. They started May 27, 2005 and will be completed June 1,2005. Tuesday morning.
F.O. Day will be installing sewer house connections, as of 5-27-05 they have completed up to 208 East Church Street, they crew work from Carroll Street heading to East Street. The sewer house connections take at least 1.5 days per house F.O Day will also be installing rain leaders.
F.O. Should be finished tying in all the sewer laterals by the end of June.
