SUMMER CONCERT SERIES SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

Celebrate Frederick is pleased to present the schedule for the 2005 Summer Concert Series. The summer-long series of free concerts at the Baker Park Bandshell will kick-off on Sunday, June 12th , and will continue every Sunday evening through August 28th . This year’s series will also include a special appearance by the U.S. Army Concert Band! The internationally renowned band will perform patriotic and marching music for one night only this year, Tuesday, July 12th . The Summer Concert Series performers selected for 2005 follow:

All of the concerts begin at 7 p.m. Plan to arrive early to enjoy the free Carillon Concerts in the park beginning at 6:00 p.m. which serve as the prelude to the main performer. Frederick’s carillon is one of only two in the entire state of Maryland.
While the concerts are FREE to the public, the Summer Concert Series Committee encourages you to bring a canned food item in lieu of admission to each performance. Non-perishable items such as canned meats and vegetables, soups, peanut butter, cereal, rice and pastas are requested. All items collected benefit the Frederick City Community Action Agency Food Bank.
