SUMMER NITE CINEMA STARS “SHREK”

Everyone’s favorite green ogre is leaving the swamp, and heading to Frederick’s Baker Park. That’s where Celebrate Frederick will present the first of this year’s Summer Nite Cinema shows. The PG rated movie “Shrek” will be shown on the big screen, Saturday, June 18th at approximately 9 p.m.
Make sure you come early though, a pre-movie party will be held in the bandshell starting at 7 p.m. There will be music, food and fun, including an appearance by Princess Fiona, Donkey, and Shrek himself! Come dressed as your favorite fairy tale character and you could win a prize in the best-dressed contest. Come prepared to participate in fairy tale trivia contests and win great prizes!
“Shrek” will be shown in the grassy area of the park near the baseball diamonds. Bring a blanket, lawn chairs and your favorite sweatshirt - it can get chilly at night. Come early to picnic with family and friends as food vendors will be on-site that evening.
The rain date for the event is Saturday, June 25th. For more information, please call The City of Frederick Office of Special Events at 301-228-2844 or visit www.CelebrateFrederick.com.
