NEIGHBORHOOD ADVISORY
COUNCIL (NAC) 1 MEETING ANNOUNCED

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick is pleased to announce a meeting of the Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC) 1 on Monday, May 9, 2005 at 7 p.m. at Whittier Elementary School.
NAC 1 is bound on the North and West by the City Limits, on the South by Fort Detrick and Montevue Lane, and on the East by Rosemont Avenue and Yellow Springs Road. Includes Whittier, Walnut Ridge, Warfield, Old Farm, Fort Detrick east to the Citizens Nursing Home.
Residents are encouraged to attend this NAC meeting and get involved.

The Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC) Initiative is a comprehensive community development initiative designed to empower residents and neighborhoods to strengthen communities. The underlying premise of the Neighborhood Advisory Council Initiative is that the residents and business community in a neighborhood are most ideally suited to identify and solve issues in those communities. The NAC’s provide residents the opportunity to work with the City Departments, such as Frederick Community Action Agency, Department of Planning & Community Development, to ensure the City is delivering high quality services.
