CITY OF FREDERICK SPRING BULK TRASH COLLECTION APRIL 4 - 7
Frederick, Md. --- The City’s bi-annual bulk trash collection will begin on Monday, April 4 and run through Thursday, April 7. Residents who wish to participate should place acceptable materials curbside on Sunday, April 3. The Department of Public Works is requesting that all bulk trash be placed out on Sunday, eliminating the need for zones. If you bulk trash is not placed out by the 3rd it will not be collected.
Acceptable materials include washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, televisions, steel pipe, furniture, dishwashers, mattresses, appliances, brush and small amounts of building materials from home repairs.
Unacceptable materials consist of household hazardous wastes such as paint, pesticides, solvents, used motor oil, tires and batteries. Building materials left by a private contractor and metal fence posts with concrete attached are also unacceptable. Materials not eligible for the City’s bulk trash pick-up can be disposed at the Frederick County Landfill. Information on the landfill can be obtained by calling 301-600-1848.
There will be no call back day for Spring Bulk Trash.
The next bulk trash pick-up will be in August 2005. Additional information on bulk trash pick-up can be obtained by contacting the Department of Public Works at 301-600-1173. Special Collections can also be arranged by contacting the Department of Public Works. Special Collections are fee-based and can be requested at anytime throughout the year.
