ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL ICE STREET RENOVATION
Frederick, Md. ---- The City of Frederick’s Department of Community Development has successfully renovated another Ice Street property. 114 Ice Street was one of three properties purchased in October 2001 using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. 114, 116 and 118 Ice Street had all been gutted by fire. CDBG funds were used for the acquisition and renovation of all three properties. 116 and 118 Ice Street were sold in 2003.
After a complete renovation, 114 Ice Street is now being sold to income eligible households. The market price for this unit is $195,000. Due to the use of CDBG funds through HUD, there are maximum income limits for buyers. Buyers must be 18 years of age or older and the property must be their primary residence. A complete list of requirements can be found on the City’s website at www.cityoffrederick.com.
