EAST STREET LANE SHIFTS DUE
TO CROSSWALK INSTALLATION

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick is pleased to announce another phase of the East Street Enhancement Project. Beginning on Tuesday, June 14th, City contractors will begin the installation of crosswalks. As a result of this work travelers should expect lane shifts. The first installation will take place at the intersection of 4th and East Streets. It is estimated that this location will take two weeks to complete, weather permitting. After work is completed at 4th and East Streets, work will progress to the intersections of 3rd and East Streets, 2nd and East Street, Church and East Streets in that order. Expect each intersection to take approximately two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Traffic will be controlled using an arrow board, road cones and flagmen. During this work, please avoid these intersections if possible. Delays are to be expected. The City will provide updates on this project as work progresses.
