LAND MANAGEMENT CODE (LMC) AND COMPREHENSIVE REZONING
INFORMATION ON CITY WEBSITE

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick is considering a revision to its Land Management Code (LMC) and a Comprehensive Rezoning on July 21, 2005. The City has been working on this issue for over a year and it has been covered at length through the local media. The proposed LMC revises the current Zoning Ordinance and will affect property development and redevelopment. The Comprehensive Rezoning may affect the use of your property(ies). All properties in planned neighborhoods are not affected by the proposed rezoning, and most residential properties and existing business are not affected. If you want to learn more about the proposed changes to you property(ies), please look for more information (text and map) on our City website www.cityoffrederick.com, contact the Planning Department (301-600-1499), or attend one of the scheduled meetings:

To access information online go to the bottom of the City's webpage, www.cityoffrederick.com and click on "Current Planning Bulletin Board". From there click on "Proposed Zoning Map". There will be a notice which you must read and agree to, and then maps should be accessible. Please note that you need Acrobat version #6 to read the file.
