2005 ANNUAL STREET AND PARK
TREE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM

Frederick, Md. --- Please note that Tom Rippeon, City of Frederick arborist, has announced the locations for the 2005 Annual Street and Park Tree Maintenance Program. The following areas will be addressed; Sweet Gum Court, 16th Street, Center Street, Clarke Place, Washington Street, N. College Parkway, College Avenue, the 400 block of Rockwell Terrace, Schley Park, (2nd, 4th, 6th Streets from East to Bentz Streets), Monocacy Park, Willowbrooke Development, Overlook Park, Maryville Park, and Baughman Park.

The primary objective to Maintenance Pruning is to maintain or improve tree health and structure, and includes hazard reduction pruning. Pruning includes the removal of deadwood greater than two-inch diameter and specialty treatments (raising branch height, street light and wire clearance, crossing or broken branches). Vertical clearance will be a minimum of 15 feet over streets, 9 feet over sidewalks and 3 feet off buildings.
