MAYOR CALLS FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION TO PRECEDE REGULARLY SCHEDULED MAYOR
AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN PUBLIC MEETING

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty has requested an Executive Session to precede the regularly scheduled Mayor and Board of Aldermen Public Meeting on Thursday, July 21, at 6:30 p.m. Mayor Dougherty will request a vote of the Aldermen to convene the meeting as a closed Executive Session. This action is in accordance with the authority granted under the Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article, and Section 10-508 (a) which states; a public body may meet in closed session to consider (1) the acquisition of real property for a public purpose and matters directly related thereto; (2) consult with counsel to obtain legal advice; (3) consult with staff about pending litigation.

The Mayor will entertain a motion to this effect at 6:30 p.m. and will comply with the Open Meetings Act to the fullest extent.
