Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised that the City of Frederick’s Rosemont Avenue Reconstruction project continues to move forward. The City’s Contractor has completed the installation of traffic signs and is currently preparing to install the final portion of pavement striping. This work is tentatively scheduled for Friday, January 7, as weather allows.
Effective immediately when the striping is complete, the No Left Turn status onto Shookstown Road from Rosemont Avenue will be in effect, as well as no left turn off Shookstown Road onto Rosemont Avenue. The next step will be the installation of a channelization island. No date has been set for this work, as weather plays a key factor. During the island installation Shookstown Road will be closed at Rosemont Avenue. There will also be a temporary "Local Traffic Only" sign at Baughmans Lane.
