WEST PATRICK STREET ROAD WORK CONTINUES
Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised that Mid-Atlantic Utilities, Inc. will continue the installation of the new 16” water main on West Patrick St. A portion of the work being performed on the dates listed above will require a traffic detour due to the limited amount of space available for safely maintaining a lane of traffic through the work area. There will be a temporary traffic detour in place Monday thru Friday (January 31st through February 4th). During this time, crews will be installing water main piping from Carroll Creek to the intersection of Bentz St. and performing sidewalk repairs from Court St. to Carroll Creek. Construction activity will be seen on W. Patrick St., between Court St. and Bentz St., through the end of February 2005.
The following impact will be felt in the area:
1. “No Parking” signs will be posted on the north side of W. Patrick St. at the intersection of Bentz St. Parking will not be permitted at any time within the areas posted.
2. Traffic control devices such as traffic cones, signs and arrow boards will be used to limit traffic to one lane during the hours of 7 - a.m. and 8 p.m.
3. Temporary traffic detours will be installed on a daily basis, as needed, from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. During these temporary detours, only local traffic and deliveries will be permitted on West Patrick St. between Market St. & Bentz St. The intended detour route for traffic will be Market St. to 2nd St. to Bentz St. and back to West Patrick St.
4. Please exercise caution when driving or walking in the vicinity of the temporary bypass piping (blue pipe along street).
We apologize for any inconvenience this street work may have on you. Thank you for your cooperation!
