Calling all artists! The non-profit organization Cultural Events for Educating Frederick is changing its name to Celebrate Frederick, and it needs a new look! The group is holding a community art competition for a new logo. The winner will receive a $500 cash prize, and the logo will be used on all promotional materials the organization uses.
Not sure who we are? Celebrate Frederick is the organization that works with the City of Frederick’s Office of Special Events to create 13 events in our area each year. The line-up includes Beyond the Garden Gates Garden Tour, Summer Nite Cinema, Baker Park’s Summer Concert Series, Frederick’s July 4th celebration, Summerfest Family Theatre, IN THE STREET, and seven holiday events, including the Candlelight House Tour and the Kris Kringle Procession. Many of these are repeatedly voted best local annual events by Frederick Magazine readers. They are a vital part of what makes Frederick such a special place to work and live.
The deadline to enter is Friday, March 4th , and the winner will be announced at a special fundraising concert at the Weinberg Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, April 2nd.
