East Church Street Reconstruction Project Update

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick is reconstructing East Church Street.
This past week the contractor installed the final water connections per plan. One remaining connection is yet to be done. 150’ of Storm Drain construction was completed from Maxwell Alley, to along the frontage of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

This coming week, with weather permitting, the new 12” water main will be tied into the existing mains at Market Street on January 17. January 17 and 18, the Contractor will install a water connection to a commercial building near the parking deck, which was not on the plans, but needs to be done before we resurface that area. Storm Drain installation will continue, and should be complete by Feb 1.

An updated schedule has been requested from the contractor, to reflect the slight juggling of the order of construction. When received, more detailed information will be presented on a monthly basis. The first presentation of this report is planned for mid February.
