MDE SETS PUBLIC HEARING FOR WELLS 3 AND 7
Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised that the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) has schedule a public informational hearing on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at 7 p.m., Gov. Thomas Johnson High School. The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public comment on the Application to Appropriate and Use Waters of the State No. FR2003G016/01 by The City of Frederick.
The City of Frederick has applied to MDE for a permit to withdrawal an annual average of 500,000 gallons per day (gpd) of ground water and 735,000 gpd during the month of maximum for a municipal water supply for the City of Frederick from Well 3 and Well 7.
Both wells are located in Monocacy Village, Fredericktowne Village, and Riverwalk parks, near North East Street and Schifferstadt Blvd.
This hearing is open to the public.
