CITY AND FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE SEEKING INDIVIDUALS TO SERVE ON LABOR RELATIONS PANEL
Frederick, Md. ---Please be advised The City of Frederick and the Fraternal Order of Police are currently seeking individuals to serve on the Labor Relations Panel. The Labor Relations Panel will hear evidence and provide written findings concerning grievances filed by The City of Frederick Police Officers.
The Labor Relations Panel shall be a five (5)-member panel. The members of the Labor Relations Panel shall be appointed as follows: two (2) members shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Aldermen; two (2) members shall be appointed by the FOP; and one (1) member shall be appointed by agreement of the City and the FOP from a list of citizens who have requested to serve on labor relations panels. The list of citizens shall be compiled and maintained through public advertising and all citizens submitting a letter of interest and a resume shall be included on the list.
Each member of the panel shall be either a City of Frederick resident, own property in the City or operate a business or his or her primary employment with a business located in the City and shall be a registered voter. Members’ terms shall be the length of the FOP Agreement, which expires June 30, 2006.
