COUNCIL (NAC) 5 MEETING ANNOUNCED
Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick is pleased to announce a meeting of the Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC) 5 on Tuesday February 8 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall Board Room
NAC 5 covers areas bound on the North by Fort Detrick and Montevue Lane, on the East by Rosemont Avenue and Route #15, on the South by West Patrick Street (Route #40), and on the West by the Frederick City Limits. Includes Tasker's Chance, Willowcrest, Stonegate Farms, Waterford, Carroll Park Manor, Rock Creek Estates and Waverly Garden developments, but does not include Fort Detrick.
The Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC) Initiative is a comprehensive community development initiative designed to empower residents and neighborhoods to strengthen communities. The underlying premise of the Neighborhood Advisory Council Initiative is that the residents and business community in a neighborhood are most ideally suited to identify and solve issues in those communities. The NAC’s provide residents the opportunity to work with the City Departments, such as Frederick Community Action Agency, Department of Planning & Community Development, to ensure the City is delivering high quality services.
Residents are encouraged to attend this NAC meeting and get involved.
