FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS TO ILLUMINATE COURTYARD AT CITY HALL

The Festival of Lights will bring holiday cheer to the courtyard of City Hall on Friday, December 16th as more than ten groups of carolers sing their way through Frederick’s historic district. The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. at various locations throughout downtown Frederick. Carolers will make their way to the courtyard of City Hall, located at 101 North Court Street, for a brief closing ceremony at 7 p.m. The closing ceremony will feature classic holiday carols and an inspirational address by Pastor David Oravec of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Oravec will share his experiences as a Chaplain for the United States Naval Reserves. Each participant will be given a candle and song sheet. Don’t miss the finale, as one candle is lit, then passed through the crowd until the entire courtyard is filled with light. A perfect way to celebrate the season!
