WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT REQUIRES TEMPORARY BYPASS PIPING ALONG WILSON PLACE AND BOLTON STREET
Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised that during the week of August 8 -12, Mid-Atlantic Utilities, Inc., will be installing temporary bypass piping along Wilson Place and Bolton Street. The bypass piping will provide water service to the properties within the work area. This work is in preparation of the water main replacement that will follow over the next four months or so. In addition to the bypass piping, a survey crew will also be on site to stake out the location of the new piping to be installed. Starting on August 8, 2005, construction activity will be seen on Wilson Place, between 7th Street and Rosemont Avenue through November 2005.
Please note the impact to the affected area:
1. Traffic control devices such as traffic cones, signs and arrow boards will be used to limit traffic to one lane during the hours of 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
2. Temporary traffic detours will be installed on a daily basis, as needed, from 6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. During these temporary detours, only local traffic and deliveries will be permitted on the street being worked on.
3. Please exercise caution when driving or walking in the vicinity of the temporary bypass piping (blue pipe along street).
4. Please note that during the progress of this work, parking along the street is strongly discouraged. During non-working hours, miscellaneous equipment and materials will be stored within the parking lanes of the streets as necessary.
We apologize for any inconvenience this street work may have on you. Thank you for your cooperation!
