Please pay close attention to the “NO PARKING” signs posted on the project. These signs are posted to indicate the work area for the next workday. If cars are parked within the posted work area any time between 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. we will be forced to have the car towed to allow for our work to progress. Construction activity will be seen on Burck Street, between South and Madison Streets; Madison Street, between Burck and Center Streets; and Center Street, between Madison and South Streets; through September 2005.
Please note the impact to the affected area:
1. Traffic control devices such as traffic cones, signs and arrow boards will be used to limit traffic to one lane during the hours of 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
2. Temporary traffic detours will be installed on a daily basis, as needed, from 6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. During these temporary detours, only local traffic and deliveries will be permitted on the street being worked on.
3. Please exercise caution when driving or walking in the vicinity of the temporary bypass piping (blue pipe along street).
4. During night work operations, residents should anticipate normal, construction equipment noise levels from backhoes, dump trucks, compaction equipment, etc. Mid-Atlantic is anticipating the night work required to install the piping in the intersection of Center Street and South Street will take 1 or 2 nights (approximately 8 hours per night).
We apologize for any inconvenience this street work may have on you. Thank you for your cooperation!
