ANNOUNCES SPRING PROGRAMS
Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick Recreation Department is pleased to announce the following programs for this spring:
Meet the Modern Masters - Your child will learn about six artists, and then create their own interpretation of that artist’s work. The six-week program will be held on Saturdays at the Talley Recreation Center at the following times: 2 - 3 p.m. for ages 6 - 8 years and 3:30 - 4:30 for ages 9 - 12. Cost including supplies is $40 City and $44 Non City.
Women’s RAD Systems Self Defense Classes will be held at the Talley Recreation Center for a 4-week program on Tuesdays April 19 - May 10 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Perfect for Middle and High School girls, college students, as well as women of all ages who want to increase their awareness and learn how to think and respond tactfully. Cost for the class is $50 City and $55 Non City.
Stained Glass Class for Beginners and Independent Studies for the more advanced students will begin the nest 4-week session on Wednesdays, April 27 - May 10 at the Talley Recreation Center. Classes are held from either 5 - 7 p.m. or 7 - 9 p.m. Call for more information and cost.
Pottery Basket Class - A new basket making class in which participants will make a round basket that will feature a hand painted round base. The class will be held at the Talley Recreation Center on Saturday, May 7th from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Interested participants should register before the 4/29 deadline. Cost including supplies is $38 City and $41 Non City.
