Mayor Awards Certificates of Appreciation

Frederick, MD - City of Frederick Mayor, Jennifer P. Dougherty presented Certificates of Appreciation and City of Frederick baseball caps to members of the City’s Water Task Force in front of City Hall on Tuesday, April 26, 2005. The task force was created in June 2004 for the purpose of recognizing the short, intermediate and long-term needs and alternative water sources for the City of Frederick’s current needs and planned growth. After the alternative water sources were defined, the Water Task Force researched the sources, analyzed them and recommended their implementation considering feasibility, affordability and safety of the community, including conservation and protection of the sources.

Citizen members of the Water Task Force representing various interests, include Trish Cunningham, Jack Lynch, Tamar Osterman, Neil Peters, Chris Smariga and Claudia and David Winkleman. City staff serving on the Water Task Force included Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty, Stephanie Davis, Tom Pellegrino, Sandy Webb and Gail Clapper.
