CITY INVITES PARTICIPATION
IN FY06 BUDGET PROCESS

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick invites participation in the budget process from all agencies requesting funding from the City of Frederick for the upcoming fiscal year 2006. The 2006 budget is for the period that begins July 1, 2005. The City is in the early stages of the process and invites parties to submit a Request for Funding Application by February 4, 2005. This process was designed to aid Mayor Dougherty and the Board of Aldermen in selecting from amongst a variety of organizations desiring support.

Applications can be found on the city website at www.cityoffrederick.com.

Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty’s proposed budget will be published March 9, 2005, at which time the proposed City donations will be made public. A special night workshop is scheduled for 7 p.m., April 27 for appeals to the proposed budget.
