Frederick Sister Cities Association (FSCA) kicks off their fourth annual Chocolate Gala

Frederick Sister Cities Association (FSCA) is preparing to host a special
event for area chocolate lovers. Their fourth annual Chocolate Gala, a
professional competition and tasting event, will be held at the Holiday-Inn Holidome
and Conference Center (at the FSK Mall) on Monday, February 7th from 6:00-9:00.
Business Dress.

For $25.00 per person, Gala attendees will delight in sampling a variety of
chocolate desserts prepared by chefs from inns, restaurants, and bakeries
throughout Frederick. Attendees will also indulge in pure gourmet chocolate
provided by Candy Kitchen, specializing in chocolates for generations. Enjoy the
aroma of chocolates and the sight of the chef's wonderful creations. Group rates
are available and we request that tickets be purchased in advance by calling

Some of the participants in the competition include: Acacia Restaurant,
Emma's Bistro, Venuti’s, Inn at Buckeystown, Clustered Spires Bakery, Canapes,
Inc., Patowmack Farm and Frederick Community College Culinary Arts and Hospitality
Institute.

Also included at the event are Sparkling Sekt (champagne) from the area of
our Sister Cities of Mörzheim and Schifferstadt, Germany. Coffee and soft
drinks will also be served. Other treats of the Gala will be a silent auction, and
keepsake champagne flutes. Also, music will enlighten the event with the
Dave Conrad four piece jazz band.
The event will support cultural and educational programs consistent with the
Sister Cities’ mission of promoting peace through people.

FSCA gives back to the community by donating a portion of its proceeds to The
Historical Society of Frederick County, (HSFC). Frederick Sister Cities will
support HSFC with their efforts in continuing to keep Frederick's history
alive in our community.
