CITY OF FREDERICK SCHEDULES WORKSHOPS TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND’S HOMEOWNERS PROPERTY TAX CREDIT

Frederick, Md. --- In an effort to provide property tax relief for fixed and lower income residents, the City of Frederick has established a series of Workshops to educate eligible citizens about the Homeowners Property Tax Credit offered through the State of Maryland.

The City will provide outreach sessions to eligible citizens to inform citizens and assist in determination of eligibility. City staff will also be on hand to help citizens fill out the necessary forms for submittal to the State Department of Assessments and Taxation.

Workshops will take place the following dates:

Saturday February 26, 2005 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Saturday March 4, 2005 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Saturday March 11, 2005 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Saturday March 18, 2005 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
