CANADIAN GEESE PATROLAT CULLER AND WHITTIER LAKES

The City of Frederick has hired a local goose control firm, Goose Vamoose, to manage the Canadian geese population at Culler and Whittier Lakes. This management program will begin May 28, 2004 and will continue on an "as needed" basis. The contractor utilizes special trained Border Collies who have been specifically trained for this purpose. The intent of the Border Collie is to herd the geese and redirect them to other areas. The National Humane Society has fully endorsed this control technique
