CITIZENS
ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN FREDERICK COUNTYS
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE DAY
Frederick,
Md. ---The City of Frederick is encouraging residents
to participate in Frederick County Governments
Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, June 5, from
8 a.m. - noon. The event will be held at the Fire Training
Facility on Reichs Ford Road.
This
is a great opportunity for City residents to dispose
of their household hazardous waste in a safe, and regulatory-compliant
manner. The program is very successful and helps prevent
hazardous waste from threatening our trash collection
employees and from polluting the environment.
This
event is open only to residents, and not businesses.
Household
Hazardous Waste includes: insecticides and pesticides;
stains and solvents; pool and photographic chemicals;
household batteries, etc. There will be no charge for
disposal.
For
additional information on this event please call 301-600-1848.
