MAYOR
DOUGHERTY, BOARD OF ALDERMEN, COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO
MEET IN JOINT EXECUTIVE SESSION
Frederick,
Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty has requested a
Special Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen for
the purposes of calling an Executive Session to take
place on Monday, March 22, at 5:30 p.m. This action
is in accordance with the authority granted under the
Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article,
Section 10-508 (a)(1)(i) and 10-508(a)(10)(ii).
The Mayor and Board of Aldermen will be meeting in a
closed Executive Session for the purpose of 10-508 (a)(1)(i);
the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion,
discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation,
or performance evaluation of appointees, employees,
or officials over whom it has jurisdiction.
Mayor Dougherty, the Board of Aldermen, and the Frederick
County Commissioners will then convene in a Joint Executive
Session at 6:30 p.m., City Hall Board Room. This action
is in accordance with the authority granted under the
Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article,
and Section 10-508 (a)(10)(ii) which states; to discuss
public security, if the public body determines that
public discussions would constitute a risk to the public
or public security, including: the development and implementation
of emergency plans.
The Mayor will entertain a motion to this effect at
5:30 p.m. and will comply with the Open Meetings Act
to the fullest extent.
