“ASK THE MAYOR” QUESTION AND ANSWER FORUM NOW AVAILABLE ON CITY’S WEBSITE

Frederick, Md. --- City of Frederick Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty has created a new and exciting way for citizens to ask questions, express concerns or provide feedback on all aspects of City government. The new “Ask the Mayor” forum was announced at the Mayor’s State of the City address in late January and has been in operation since the first week in February.

“Ask the Mayor” is a citizen’s way of posing questions, comments, or concerns. In return citizens received a personal response from Mayor Dougherty. The form on the website is simple to complete and will only take a few moments. Although your name and address are required for submission, only first names and comments are posted online for public viewing.

Questions that have been posted to date include; waste removal, transportation, snow removal, and issues with Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC). This is an excellent way to get involved in your local government, especially now that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen are participating in FY05 Budget Workshops.
