MAYOR CALLS FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION TO FOLLOW REGULARLY SCHEDULED MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN WORKSHOP

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty has requested an Executive Session to proceed the regularly scheduled Mayor and Board of Aldermen 2 p.m. Workshop on Wednesday, June 9. Mayor Dougherty will request a vote of the Aldermen to convene the meeting as a closed Executive Session. This action is in accordance with the authority granted under the Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article, and Section 10-508 (a)(7) and (8).
Section 10-508 (a) (7) states; to consult with counsel to obtain legal advice on a legal matter.
Section 10-508 (a) (8) states; to consult with staff, consultants, or other individuals about pending or potential litigation.
The Mayor will entertain a motion to this effect at the conclusion of the 2 p.m. Workshop and will comply with the Open Meetings Act to the fullest extent.
